Italian House Music SceneFashionBrands

If we go back to the late 1980's, the term Italo House was first used to describe a type of house music popular in Italy. Italo House can be described as a combination of house music and Italo Disco. What defined Italo House was the use of piano chords that were mainly electronic, with vocals. One example that is always used to illustrate this is Blackbox's Ride on Time.

ema&juli2riccioneSince then, the House Music Scene is for a large part made up of Italian Dj's, and Italian organised parties and club nights the world over, in particular Italy, London and Ibiza. The sound of Italian House Music today can vary, but tribal, minimal and electronic styles are very popular on the scene.

The Italian House Music Scene and clubbing lifestyle is popular throughout Italy, with the House Clubbing Capital at Riccione, on Italy's Adriatic Coast. (Italy's Ibiza). It is also followed in Ibiza, where there are many Italian djMagorganised parties and Dj's, for example the Made in Italy party at Amnesia on Friday nights, and the renowned CircoLoco at DC10 on Monday mornings. There is also a huge Italian party scene in London, where we have such nights as for example Vertigo, at The Cross nightclub, (with resident Dj's David Piccioni and Micky Guy). Other parties that are not necessarily Italian organised but feature Italian Dj's regularly and have  predominantly Italian crowd and followers of the scene, are The Players at AKA and DTPM at Fabric on a Sunday, to name but a few.

The followers of the Italian House Music Scene can be both Italian and non Italians, but either way, the attitude remains the same: seriously stylish and always up for it!
